I built the product at a B2B software company and brought in its first paying customer. Five people, one funding round. What stayed with me was the other side of that table: what the company was worth on paper, and the clauses nobody reads until they matter. I want to start as an analyst in sell-side M&A.

A public notebook on M&A and investment banking. Everything is built from real filings and published with the working still visible, wrong turns included.
CTO
Sustable, Istanbul
B2B carbon accounting and ESG reporting software. Raised at a $5m valuation in 2023.
- Owned the whole technical side: the platform, the client dashboard, the CMS and the internal tools the team ran on.
- Won the company’s first paying customer in April 2023, through a relationship I had opened myself. That contract got us into a technology park incubator.
- Co-wrote the investor deck with the CEO, and presented parts of it to the investor.
- Sat on customer calls as the technical side of the table, translating between what a bank asked for and what the platform could actually do.
- Built and ran the outbound function: about ten new contacts a day, roughly one or two meetings out of every ten. Messaging and closing sat with the CEO.
- Designed the LLM workflow behind the platform’s automated ESG report generation.

- Delivered front-end work on a project basis, including a build for one of Turkey’s largest football clubs through a partner agency.
- Handled scope, timeline and delivery directly with clients.

3-Statement Model from a 10-K
Built from a real annual filing, with no template underneath it. The point was to get fluent enough in the three statements that the links stop being something I look up.

One company, valued three ways from scratch. The numbers disagreed, and working out why taught me more than any of them did alone.
Complete LBO Model
A leveraged buyout assembled on a blank sheet: debt schedule, cash sweep, and whatever the returns turn out to be once the interest starts circulating.
Real Transaction Teardown
One real transaction, read the whole way through. How it was structured, who ended up carrying which risk, and what the earnout was really paying for.
